So far, everyone has survived. Some only by the skin of their teeth, though!

First mission:

After a call from Alphonse, the group headed over to Club Apocalypse to meet with Robert Hubert (AKA Belial) the manager and Stephen Alzis, the owner. It turned out that an armed group had stormed the club earlier in the evening and taken six people hostage - three from Vital Defence America, and three from Severn Aerospace UK. One was an undercover DG agent.

Much evidence was collected, and from security footage the identity of the kidnappers was established. All were members of a UK-based terrorist organization known as The Army Of The Third Eye, known for targetting government officials.

Whilst checking out the last known address of the bad guys, a youth was chased after he tried to break into the team's car, and then a young lady was chased, maced, thrown in the trunk, threatened with a gun, run over, threatened with rape, threatened with death, taken to a waste ground, threatened again, all for just taking a couple of photos. Admittedly, her being in the middle of a dodgy part of Queens at three in the morning with a high-quality SLR, zoom lens and night sights was a little odd, but she explained that she'd been told to come here by her work. And her work sounded most odd. A room that moves around the city, and pays people to count M&Ms, email the word THE to a website every time a car goes around a corner, that sort of thing.

Whilst Nick was preparing to whip off his kecks and put his catstand into the terrified young lass, Alphonse phoned. He'd been called by Agent Daniel, who was safe, happy and requesting an urgent meeting with other DG agents. They were being held at the house of one of the kidnap victims, and were in no danger.

Understandably, the team were nervous upon arriving at the house, especially as the house had no signs of life in it, and no-one answered the phone when they called. Bashing open the front door, the team were just in time to see a figure clad in full commando gear legging it out of the back door and down the garden path. Everyone burst into the house, Nick and Elwyn chasing into the garden, only to hear a British voice yelling "GO GO GO!" and a car starting. Nick saw the commando pushing a figure into an armoured humvee and it flooring it down a service road. Matt leapt into the team's car and drove off in hot persuit.

Elwyn and Nick checked the house out. All bar one of the hostages were there, as were all of the kidnappers. All were dead. All had been double-tapped. In one room, there was a strange vice / drill strapped to a chair, with a corpse in it. The corpse had been drilled in the head. Other bodies had also been drilled, but also shot. In blood, Agent Daniel had written the word PISCES.

Matt started to gain on the humvee as it turned off the interstate at a sliproad. As he followed he found them blocking the road, MP5s pointing out of the window. Seconds later, his engine was riddled with bullets, and the Humvee was speeding off. He took several shots with his MP5, but none did any significant damage. Shortly afterwards, he saw a helicopter taking off from a field where the Humvee turned into. Then, the humvee exploded.

Back at the house, as Nick and Elwyn explored, Elwyn discovered a large bomb attatched to the gas mains in the kitchen. A shouted warning and fast moving legs only just managed to save their lives. Alphonse was astonished to hear the word PISCES had been used, especially in relation to the possibly British commandos. Pisces had been the UK version of DG, but was long thought to be out of action.......

Sounds like a good sum up. So I take it that not much more happened after I left???

Session 2:

The team moved from New York to Knoxville where they were briefed by Agent Derringer. A young man by the name of Billy Ray Spivey had gone on a bizzare rampage leaving a trail of death and destruction behind him. His muscle tissue seemed to have been replaced with strange alien material. Spivey had been missing for two days, but had no knowledge of this and his thinking was clouded by extreme pain. This is not the first strange occurunce in his home town.

The group head to Groversville to investigate this under the cover story of investigating drug dealers linked to Spivey. The local sherrif is quite dismissive of this, strongly implying that there are no drugs in Groversville and that it's a good town. Some investigation later reveals the town to be a sleepy, average small American farming town. Tony almost manages to get himself in trouble due to a misunderstanding from an overzealous concerned citizen who overhears him asking about drugs. However, when the police show up to arrest him, they see the funny side. Graham decides to aid Billy Ray's mother in her grief by wearing a paper bag on his head and asking her to talk in a man's voice.

The next morning the team partake of a hearty breakfast. Nick looks like he's eaten far too well for his own good, and as the day goes on he realises he's not done any poo since the previous day. Questioning the farmer where Billy Ray worked reveals him to have had a good character, and for his actions to have seemed out of place. The farmer reveals that he'd found three of his cows mutilated last month on consecutive nights, but he puts this down to sick college pranks.

An amount of a chemical compound arrives from Alphonse. This has been produced to create a bright purple chemical reaction when it comes into contact with the strange protomatter found on Spivey. Nick is rather disturbed to discover that he's got a number of large purple scars on his stomach. He's even more disturbed when the rest of the team tie him up at gunpoint and march him to the local vet for an Xray. The Xray reveals nothing unusual, and the vet refuses to do a blood test, suggesting that they use the doctor's. At the doctors, Nick's blood is revealed to be normal. It is then noticed that there are elements of protomatter in the air, lightly on everyone's skin, and even moreso in the water. Bottled water produces no reaction, and neither do sterilised products. The team realise they've been drinking and bathing in this water.

A trip to the local reservoir produces a reaction of the most pure and brilliant purple that any of the team has ever seen. And it's everywhere. The grass, trees, water, earth.... all imbued with this stuff. The team talk to Alphonse who tells them that the first reaction should not be to douse the whole town in napalm, but to see if they can save the folk in as least a panic inducing manner as they can. After some deliberation, the idea of a chemical spill in the water is decided upon over spreading rumours of ebola or bubonic plague - Such things would certainly bring in a large number of other agents and could compromise the group's investigation. Alphonse arranges for a truck to be left outside the town in the early hours of the morning containing industrial waste.

Talking to the owner of the motel, the team discover that a guy who's been investigating UFOs in the area is in a room near the ones they are staying in. There's no response when the door is knocked on, so the key is borrowed and Nick, Tony and Graham enter. The room is in total darkness, with blankets taped over the curtains, clothes stacked neatly on a table and a laptop on the bed. The base of the door is jammed with a towel. Entering the bathroom, they find the body of Scott Adams in the bath, his wrists cut. The bath is filled with bloody water, and a strange bluish lump is on his head.

Nick reaches into the bath to pull the plug, but something moves across his hand. He pulls back and he and tony pull guns. They try to pull the body from the bath and Tony notices the lump has gone from his head. A strange knocking starts to come from the pipes and the bath begins to vibrate. Tony and Nick back off, and Tony fires a shot into the bath. Suddenly, a wierd lump of material flies out of the water and into Tony's gun. Tony fires again, and the material fills his gun, running out from the hammer and into the chamber. Tony drops it, and the gun shatters in mid-air as the material expands. Graham runs, shutting the door on Nick and Tony. The plug bursts open and bloody water sprays everywhere. Gallons of the material shoots out and covers the ceiling. Nick shotguns the door open and runs out, followed by Tony. Alas, before he can get free, our TA Chum is covered by the goo which starts running all over his head, up his nose, into his ears, into his tearducts, into his mouth. All three stagger outside and Tony attempts to claw the stuff off himself, only to find his hands merged into the material. Nick grabs a blanket as Tony passes out and sets light to it, flinging it over Tony's head. The flames bite into the matter and it flees from Tony, exiting via the drains. Graham provides Mouth to Mouth and revives him in the nick of time.

It's then that they notice the camera crew filming them. Graham and Nick give chase to retrieve the tape, firing shots at the crew's van as it departs (still filming them) Tony "convinces" the hotelier that nothing has happened. After a short chase, and with three tires shot out, the van crashes and three of the journalists flee in different directions. All are shot in a non-lethal manner, and Nick takes delight in tazering one for long periods of time. After a short amount of threatening and questioning, they realise that none of the guys they've caught have the tape. Oh dear. In the van they discover the final film crew member, and he's almost finished downloading the footage via the internet. The crew are hastily framed with large amounts of drugs and child porn from Nick's specially requested warehous of the stuff.

Alphonse says he'll see what he can do about the film-crew's main office in California, but he cannot promise anything. Phenomin-X are a cable program and may have put the thing straight out live. By the time his cleanup team get there, there will most likely be copies everywhere and a spot of damage limitation and mutual back-scratching might have to be induldged in.

Tony investigates the computer from the hotel room, discovering three files - Two text files and one sound file which produces different opinions throughout the team. One text file is bizzare, and the other seems to be a list of all the strange occurences in the town.

And so we left our team, with many leads to follow. When will they complete their mission? Only you can decide!

Apparently he is chopping up one of his neighbours and the sitting-room is a bit messy.

This is great - As I type this I am seeing a ginormous pair of gazonkers springing to life before me.

Last night's session:

The team decided it was time to ask Jane Allen, Billy Ray's girlfriend, a few questions. Upon arriving at the trailer park where she lived, there was no reply. After obtaining the key from a be-mulleted super, the team gained entrance to her caravan. After a short investigation, Tony thought he heard movement in the back bedroom. Nick crept around the outside of the trailer and peeked in through the window, but couldn't see anything. Cautiously, Tony advanced, burst into the room and saw a pair of eyes looking at him. Through the window. It was Nick. A fair bit of examination later, not much was turned up. Tony managed to find several pairs of dirty knickers, some draw, a diary, but nothing out of the ordinary. Nick phoned Agent Derringer to see if they could find anything else out about Jane Allen from Billy Ray, only to be told that Billy Ray had been killed trying to escape.

Graham looked through the files that had been obtained from Scott Adam's computer. He noticed a couple of things - one was a list of people who never returned home, and another was a mention of a J.A. who'd been got a room at the Shut Eye. The team wondered who they could be after with the initials J.A. And then it dawned on them. Returning to the Shut Eye, they soon met up with a very heavily pregnant Jane Allen. She was terrified, and even more distraught to learn of Billy Ray's death. Some questioning revealed that, although clearly in the later stages of pregnancy, she'd only become with child in the last three weeks. It also transpired that, since having fallen pregnant, she suffered from a period of missing time. The girl was terrified, and the team arranged for DG Friendly medical experts to take a look at her. Examining her with the protomatter detecting compound revealed marks of surgery on her stomach, and also in her vaginal fluids. She also revealed that the list of names who never returned home seemed to relate to the town Aldermen.

So, two home visits were paid to the homes of the councilers. Both families claimed nothing was out of the ordinary - The husbands were just working late lots over the last two weeks. It was budget time, you see. Sure - They'd spoken to their loved ones on the phone, but being busy they often went out before people got up, and were in after people were in bed. These are the sacrifices you have to make.....

Taking this as evidence that the Aldermen were up to no good, a visit was paid to the town hall. All the Aldermen's cars were in the car park. A trace was put out on their mobile phones - they all seemed to be in one room. A pizza boy was summoned to deliver to the late working aldermen, but no-one opened the front door. Alphonse agreed that he could shut the power off to Groversville for about twenty minutes, but Graham managed to hack into the security company that ran the Hall's alarm system and shut it down remotely. Tony noticed a window at the back of the building was blacked out. Looking on the blueprints, this seemed to be the boardroom.

Entering the building, the team crept to the third floor. Looking under the door to the boardroom, nothing could be seen - it was pitch black. They proceeded to the room with the phones. This was empty, and the phones were all placed in a drawer. Nick picked the lock to the boardroom, and they kicked the door open. Before them, the room was a mess. Paper was strewn all over the floor. The table was overturned. Chairs knocked over. And at one end of the room, a large, viscous blob of milky liquid bubbled. The faces of the Aldermen played over the surface, and an amount of it started to seperate off and take human form. Needless to say, everyone opened fire. The bullets and shotgun blasts slammed into the blob, passed right through it and smashed the window and thumped into the walls. Tendrils of the stuff snaked off and attempted to swipe at our heroes, but without success. Quickly realising they were in the ****, everyone ran. Graham phoned Alphonse and showed him an image of the thing on the videophone, yelling that bullets do no harm. Alphonse replied "if in doubt, burn it!" Tony ran and grabbed the mobile phones, and Nick legged it downstairs. Graham sprayed a tendril that nearly hit him and it turned purple, revealing it to be protomatter. Running to the ground floor, Graham searched the janitor's office for flamable materials whilst Nick avoided the blob as it launched itself from the balcony at him. A large sack of aerosols, bleach and other chemicals was thrown at the creature, and then shot at with all the team's might. A large explosions followed, and bits of burning protomatter sprayed over the team who managed to escape with only very minor burns. Smashing glass was heard from upstairs and Nick rushed outside in time to see the rest of the blob attempting to escape down a drain. Blasting at it with his shotgun, he managed to isolate a very small amount and place it in a sample jar. Graham had retrieved a can of petrol and poured it into the sewers, setting light to it. There was a boom and a jet of flame.

Hearing approaching sirens, the team thought it best to make themselves scarce. And that's where we left them.......

So, The team drove away and hid for a while, then made their way back to base for a couple of hours sleep. After this, they picked up the truck Alphonse had so nicely left for them and drove it to the lake. Soon, gallons of sump oil shimmered upon the surface, and the tanker was left at a local truckstop to be picked up later.

After this, the team followed up on a few leads. A couple of people were talked to about missing time, who both showed signs of having been altered. A crop circle was investigated, but this turned out to be the landing marks of a helicopter. Going back to the town hall, they discovered the local police force in a state of panic. It seems some bastard drug dealers had kidnapped the aldermen last night, and attempted to set fire to the town hall! At the same time, some idiot had dumped all his farm's waste into the lake, cutting off the water supply. A cleanup was in progress, and the team stayed for a while to not look suspicious.

EVERYONE the team had spoken to so far had mentioned strange lights in the sky. That night, the team set up camp on the nearby hills and were lucky enough to observe an array of glittering multicoloured light clusters flitting about in the sky and moving behind the eastern hills. Relocating, they observed these lights heading into a farm.
The team tooled up and drove to the farm, parking the car a way down the drive and walking in on foot. The farm appeared abandoned. A For Sale sign hung by the entrance, and the buildings were all dark. From their vantage point on the hills, it appeared that the lights had been converging upon the barn. Listening at the door produced no sound, so the team quietly attempted to open it. Behind the door, a strange, dry, resinous material blocked entry. This stuff was hard, and sealed up against the edge of the walls. Nothing could be seen through it.

Gathering some ladders and ropes from the nearby toolshed, the team sent Tony up into the hayloft to investigate. Creeping forwards, he could see a glowing light coming through a hole in the loft floor. Peeking through, Tony could see a large array of strange machinery. Odd tubes, one with a boy floating in it, a big vat, holograms of the insides of humans and animals, an operating table, odd fungal matter.... Oh, and six small humanoids with smooth grey hairless skin and almond black eyes....

Tony legged it slowly, explained to the team what he'd seen, and a plan was formed. Creeping in, the team surrounded the hole in the loft floor and opened fire, spraying the greys with as much automatic weapons fire as they could muster. Most of them were blasted to ****ery, bits of grey flesh and strange blue organs and blood splattered the floor. But at the moment that the team had started firing, the greys had stopped moving, and the fungal matter at the sides of the room had sprung to life!

Four strange creatures, like fungal insects with bizzare glowing heads unfolded their wings and flew up towards the team, firing strange devices they had in their hands at them. Bolts of hot blue electricity sprung out, but missed. As the Mi-Go (for that is what they were) started flying through the hole, the team once again opened fire. The lead creature exploded as virtually everyone hit it similtaniously, but the other three got through. A blast of electricity hit Nick, and he felt his heart flutter. More gunfire filled the air, and soon the creatures lay dead, but not before Tony had taken quite a nasty wound.

Matt, Elwyn and Graham's characters were sent outside to keep guard whilst Tony and Nick investigated the machinery. Much of this stuff was extremely odd. Nick found the boy's body on the operating table. It had been opened up, it's chest cavity emptied, and one of the greys held a lump of protomatter. Nick took the matter and tried rolling it into the shape of a ball, then put it where the heart should have been. Nothing happened.....

Then, over the communicaters, all hell broke loose. Everyone outside was screaming and firing. Two more creatures had come back and one had grabbed Matt's character, and vanished into the clouds. The order was given to regroup within the main barn area after Matt reapeared, falling around 1,000 feet with no parachute and holding an urgent meeting with the ground. Alas, he did not live to tell the rest of the team how exilherating free-fall is.

The Mi-Go flittered across the loft-hole, firing in as the team fired out. Tony was hit again, and lay unconcious on the floor, but concentrated fire soon calmed the fungi from yuggoth. Gathering as much evidence as they could, the team then placed a variety of explosives and flamables in the loft. The whole barn was soon toast.

As the team went to make their gettaway, they were taken by suprise by a number of heavily armed men pointing high caliber automatic weapons at them. Their leader, a rude man with gold teeth, furiously asked what the hell was going on and what they'd done. It seems the team had ruined an operation that had been going on for months, but as the team wouldn't say anything and managed to avoid offending him too much, the guys got into a black chopper and flew off. Soon after, the team all felt very ill and started throwing up. Looking in the boot, all protomatter samples they'd collected (And the bodies of the greys) had melted.

In the town, there were many, many tragic deaths. The Aldermen were never seen again.
